About Us
Virgin Hill Coffee Roasters is a family-owned business with a keen passion for coffee. We are located in the Town of Brome Lake, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, where the company borrows some of its inspiration with such mixes as the Ripplecove, Knowlton and Autumn blends. Ours is a true family business; while part of the family is out on the road spreading the word, others are involved in the roasting process.
We have always had a zeal for coffee. We opened our first café in 1998 and its success proved that we could turn our love for coffee into a thriving business. A few years later we decided we wanted to be closer to controlling the quality of the product our customers so adored. We sold our café and set up shop as proper coffee roasters, which we named after an ancestral spot in North Hatley. This is where Virgin Hill’s first batch of coffee was roasted.
While Virgin Hill is still in its early stages, we have blanketed the Eastern Townships with our coffee and we are expanding quickly. Throughout our rapid growth we at Virgin Hill maintain our hand-roasting integrity and company maxim:
Gourmet coffee at a reasonable price
Our gourmet coffee is freshly roasted to suit the taste of each individual client. On a daily basis we roast and package our gourmet coffee to supply to our customers. Our master roaster selects only the best quality green coffee beans from all over the world. The beans are then roasted to brown, medium or black and out-gassed for 48 hours. Then our coffee is mixed, packaged and delivered to our customers.

The Perfect Cup
There are a couple of steps to creating the perfect cup of coffee. We would suggest starting with cold, fresh, preferably filtered water. Then there is the amount to consider; we always recommend 10 g (2 tbsp) of ground coffee for every 180ml (6 oz) of water. Should you want to moderate your coffee’s strength simply add hot water after brewing.
To store your fresh roasted coffee for the next perfect cup it is best kept in a dark, airtight container at room temperature.
